Savannah Peat is a content creator and media professional currently residing in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She is an alumnus of the University of Georgia's Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication.
She has spent the last year and a half working as a Communications Representative at The University of New Mexico. In this role, she has combined her passions of writing, video, photo and storytelling all for the benefit of New Mexico's flagship university. She has worked with top researchers, inspiring graduates and adventure-seekers through a variety of responsibilities and and creative pieces, all while promoting on social media. Her work also involves being a liaison with media, a world she also understands. Prior to UNM, Savannah created, designed, wrote, and executed the only daily hour-long show of KOAT. Throughout that time she has earned the show multiple awards, skyrocketed its ratings, and built numerous connections within the community.
She loves creating thoughtful and unique content, while also being handed multiple special projects to oversee. All of her work has expounded upon her experience during her four years prior of working in Georgia. There, she made people smile, and connected with an entirely different community in editing and reporting original content for classes, projects and internships such as a CNN Newsroom and Athens-Clarke County Government. Savannah also is a certified Wedding and Event Planner, and has studied Political Science, Spanish, ASL and Japanese.
You can also find Savannah Peat on bookshelves, as the author of the children’s book “Detective Maurice and the Case of the Missing Milk.”
